Focus Group Analysis

When we were coming up with ideas we thought about making someone a proper trumpeter with a jacket to add to the quirky indie style, after analyzing Ed Sheeran's music video for "Drunk" where a cat is his best friend, we thought we could go a bit crazy with our narrative. we then thought that we should emphasize the "catchyness" of the song and how we get "down with the trumpets".

we originally thought that I would find the trumpet in the bin and when I picked it up I suddenly had a trumpeter costume on and was "possessed" by the trumpet and I couldn't stop until someone else walked past and the trumpet and jacket would transition to the other person. We did some test shots on how we were going to do it whether we were going to have us walk past a pole or a tree and just as we were covered it would instantly change to the other person playing the trumpet.

I was watching TV at some point at an advert for Stella 4 came on and i thought the way they transitioned the clothing was brilliant, simple and effective. Instead of trying to explain it explain it with endless amount of words i thought i would just post the advert.

Costume Research

After watching 2 of Rizzle Kicks music videos I think we have found what to wear and costume ideas.
In their music video "When I Was A Youngster" they use props and costumes that are put into a situation were it usually shouldn't , such as the fireman outfit and the Astronaut costumes to go with the idea of what they wanted to be when they were younger "extension of the lyrics" So I think when we make our music video for "Down With The Trumpets" we are going to use a trumpeter jacket and a trumpet to fit with the lyrics but also to put a bit of quirkiness and "Indie" feel to the video like they did. I then looked at what they wore for performance shots and generally it was t-shirts, shirts (buttoned to the top), chinos, flat peaks, sweaters, hoodies
